Add STRIV Vitals to your Garmin run

Keep Garmin's own Run activity and add live left and right insole metrics to a data screen.

Updated Oct 2026
Step 01

Install the data field

Install STRIV Vitals from the Garmin Connect IQ Store. Check your watch is listed on the store page.

Step 02

Add it to a data screen

On the watch, open the Run settings, then Data Screens. Add a one-field screen and choose Connect IQ, then STRIV Vitals.

Step 03

Free the insoles from your phone

Disconnect the insoles in the STRIV phone app so the watch can connect, or leave the phone at home.

Step 04

Start a Garmin run

Start Garmin's built-in Run activity. The data field shows:

Left / right
Loading rate, impact force, ground contact time, swing time
Cadence
Live, with each insole's connection
Alerts
A vibration when ground contact time or impact force stays high
Step 05

Sync to the STRIV app

The insole metrics are saved in your Garmin activity. For post-run analysis, sync the run in the STRIV app: open the insole badge (INSOLES) and tap SYNC.

Good to know
  • Insole calibration is in the data field's settings.
  • For coaching cues on your wrist, use the Striv Smart Insole watch app instead. See the guide.
FAQ
Which Garmin watches work?

Check that your watch is listed on the STRIV Vitals store page.

Why does the data field show no insoles?

They may still be connected to your phone. Disconnect them in the STRIV app, or leave the phone behind, and start the run again.

App or data field?

The Striv Smart Insole app gives you coaching cues on your wrist. STRIV Vitals keeps Garmin's own Run activity and adds insole metrics to it.

Still can't connect?
